DOZER Recording Covers
January 20, 2005Swedish "stoner" rockers DOZER are currently in the studio recording two cover songs. First off is DEVO's classic track "Mongoloid", which will be featured on the upcoming "Sucking The '70s Vol. II" compilation, to be released later this year on Small Stone Records. The second track, "Vinegar Fly" from DOZER's good friends SUNRIDE, will appear — alongside SUNRIDE's version of DOZER's "Way To Redemption" — on a 7" split picture disc, due this spring on the German label People Like You. Artwork for the picture disc will be handled by Aaron Turner of ISIS.
As previously reported, DOZER have been confirmed as main support on MASTODON's upcoming European tour beginning in early February.
DOZER are continuing to tour in support of their third album, "Call It Conspiracy", which was released in 2003 via Molten Universe. The album was recorded at Music-A-Matic Studio in Gothenburg and Polar and Nord Studios in Stockholm and was engineered by Stefan Boman.
